One Champagne, One Identity
If the earth could speak, it would tell us the story of Pierre Louis de Failly, a renowned military officer who, having dedicated his life to the royal army of King Louis XVI, left it to devote himself to the agriculture and viticulture of his estate in Moussy, before being exiled until his death far away from his destroyed castle.
If the vines could speak, they would tell us how the Renaudin family succeeded the Comte de Failly, and rebuilt a new domain. They would tell us how stone after stone, year after year, and century after century, each generation took the greatest care in choosing plants meticulously, how their hands became worn from pruning and trellising, their backs bent under the weight of baskets filled with the best grapes in order to create the best champagnes.

The R. Renaudin estate built its history on two founding values: time and sharing. Thus their philosophy was born: “The effervescence of time”
Vines & Wines
The R. Renaudin estate vineyards extend across 12 hectares. The vines are planted 40% Chardonnay, 60% Pinot Noir and Meunier, with an average vine age of 25 years.
Their vines are located in the villages of Pierry, Moussy, and Chavot, some of which are classified Premier Cru.
The Estate’s wines, which are mainly blends of Premier Cru Chardonnay and of its vintages aged 10 years or more, retain all their freshness thanks to a special vinification without any malolactic fermentation.
The wines are aged in vats (8 months) or in oak barrels (10 months), before resting in the bottles for approximately 10 years, one of the unique characteristics of the Estate.

WHAT MAKES US UNIQUE
THE BLANCS DE BLANCS
The Chardonnay from our vines in Pierry (Premier Cru), Moussy and Chavot, embodies the typicity of our terroir: the “Coteaux Sud” of Epernay, its soils and subsoils. Due to their dazzling freshness and their elegant length, these wines will age beautifully, offering us great expectations, along the lines of a quintessentially gastronomic champagne.
The clayey-limestone soil gives the wine a distinct openness. The clay helps the Chardonnays and the Pinot Noirs reveal all their potential. The limestone confers an attractive and drawn-out touch of acidity. The end result is elegantly balanced wines that offer a wonderful ageing potential.

100% Chardonnay Premier Cru originating from the village Pierry, l'Espiègle is a spirited, vivacious and dynamic vintage wine whose incomparable freshness will carry you away.

BRUT ROSÉ
A blend of 92% white wine (70% Chardonnay and 30% Pinot Noir) with 8% Moussy Rouge (Meunier) stemming from the “Coteaux Sud” of Epernay, l'Espiègle Rosé is a noteworthy example of Champenois blending skills.

100% Chardonnay, Premier Cru originating exclusively from the village Pierry. Our Vintage 2005 is an exceptional cuvée that conveys all the complexity of the 2005 vintage.
To extend the experience and discover the Champagne region, our Domaine offers you the possibility to stay in the heart of the vineyard thanks to 7 charming cottages, located in the direct vicinity of the estate.
Thanks to their geographical location, their equipment and the wine tourism experiences available, you will be able to share a stay rich in emotion for two, with family or friends.
